Wife of Changamwe MP Omar Mwinyi is dead.
Mama Rukiya Khatib Ali died at Pandya Hospital where she was rushed to after suddenly falling ill on Monday, January 8 night.
Her body has since been taken to Portreitz even as her family is preparing to lay her to rest.
Rukiya will be buried today after 1 pm.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party send a condolence message to MP Mwinyi.
“Pole sana Hon. Omar Mwinyi – MP for Changamwe for the loss of your beloved wife Mama Rikiya Khatib Ali. We commiserate with you and your family at this very difficult moment of grief and pray to Allah SWT to grant you peace during this trying times,” the party said on its social media pages.
