“In light of recent events surrounding the GenZ protests,
I want to make it clear: my government condemns extrajudicial killings,” President Ruto stated firmly.
“Moving forward, Kenyans can rest assured that this will not happen under my watch.”
The President’s statement comes amidst concerns over several influential individuals who went missing for hours and reappeared after public outcry.
Addressing the casualty toll from the protests, President Ruto acknowledged that six people had tragically lost their lives.

Anti-tax protesters were in shock after a 29-year-old man was killed during nationwide demonstrations against the finance bill.
Rex Kanyike Masai, who was protesting last week 20th June, Thursday in CBD Nairobi. He died of gunshot wounds.
“I extend my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones in these unfortunate circumstances,” President Ruto expressed sympathetically.
“The government is committed to ensuring that the grieving families are supported and compensated in some way.”
