Woman in Migori arrested with bhang worth Ksh 15 million

A 26-year-old woman in Migori has been arrested after she was caught with bhang worth over Ksh.15 million on February 20, 2023.

Molinter Adhiambo was caught in her Buembu, Migori County home after the DCI  conducted a sting operation and their K9 Isebania Border Post Counterparts.

The bhang in custody amounts to 531 kilograms.

 “A woman implicated in the trafficking of 531Kg of bhang which was earlier today seized at a home compound within Buembu village in Migori County is in police custody,” The DCI told Citizen.

In addition, it was established that 9 other sacks of cannabis sativa sticks and another 8 containing the unrefined frug were found in her home.

Another suspect who is believed to be part of the trafficking fled the scene which was later established to be the home of Osege Odhiambo.

A search for both Osege and the suspect on the run is ongoing.
