The truth is, that women cheat more than men, but men are too weak to admit it. This is according to psychologist Ken Munyua.

According to psychologist Munyua, men are generally weak. Munyua stated this while addressing the role men play in families today.

In his view during a recent TV interview, he leans on the Christian holy scripture to further illustrate his viewpoint.

During his rebuttal in the social roundtable discussion, he stated that men indeed are a weak gender stating “The Bible calls men the weaker vessels.”

Does the Bible call men the ‘weaker vessel?’

Upon further examining the Bible, Psychologist Munyua may have misquoted the scripture.

In 1 Peter 3:7 New Living version, the scripture narrates a different narrative from that painted by psychologist Munyua.

In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together.” 

The verse continues, “She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life.

Different versions of the scripture use various styles of wording which may contribute to varied perspectives.

However, upon further inspection and verification, the Bible does not refer to men as a weaker vessel.

Husbands cannot imagine their wives cheating

According to Psychologist Munyua, men do not envision a scenario where their wives are unfaithful to their marital union.

Consequentially, he stated that most men take time to open up during therapy sessions over their alleged unfaithful spouses.

As a man, I will be prepared to have a side chic, but have you ever imagined your wife being a side chic to somebody else?” asked Munyua.

The truth of the matter is and this is very unfortunate, women cheat more than men, for real.” Munyua continued.

In his analysis, women in Kenya’s modern society practice serial monogamy.

According to Munyua, serial monogamy is a long-term relationship that may not necessarily lead to marriage but rather is established on the premise of a singular motive.

Munyua goes on to share examples like, women may date a certain man who caters to a specific need at that time which may range from paying rent to catering for other items like hair care.

In conclusion, Munyua shared that the traditional concept of relationships and marriage was vaguely present and men had to come to terms with the equal footing on trust issues they share with women in marriage.
