Yanga FC starts league defence by hammering KMC 5-0

Yanga Football Club has kicked off its Tanzanian premier league campaign on a high note thrashing KMC 5-0 in their opening fixture played at the Azam Complex, Chamazi in Dar es Salaam.

Yanga opened the score sheet in the 16th minutes through the efforts of defender Dickson Job who put the ball at the back of the net capitalizing on the KMC’s defense mistake in the penalty area.

Stephane Aziz volleyed in the second one 40 minutes later through Jesus Moloko’s assist, KMC’s suffering did not stop there as Yanga’s new signing striker Mghana Hafiz Kankoni made it 3-0 with a free kick that saw shot stopper Wilbol Maseke try to catch the ball inside the net.

Mudathiri Yahya took advantage of the goalkeeper’s ignorance and curved a beautiful shot in the 18-yard box to find the back of the net.

Yanga star Pacome Zouzoua put the final nail in KMC’s coffin adding the fifth for the defending champions.
