“You will get title deeds,” DP Gachagua tells Maina village residents

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has assured landowners of Maina Village, Nyahururu town, Laikipia West Constituency of the Government’s readiness to process for them title deeds for their pieces of land in the next six months. 

Speaking on Monday, March 4 when he addressed residents of the village, the DP said President William Ruto’s administration is keen on ensuring they fully own their land and benefit from it. 

“We are working on the title deeds for the residents here in Maina village because they have been asking for them for a long time. We want to ensure you that you will have the title deeds in the next six months,” said the DP when he interacted with the locals on his development tour of the county.  

On top of the vital documents, the DP said roads will be tarmacked to open up the village.

The DP also said the Government is working on dealing with the human-wildlife conflict in the area to avert more destruction to the residents.

“We want the people to enjoy the fruits of their labour in their farms without the fear of losing their investments to the wildlife here,” assured the DP. 

On the fight against illicit brews and drugs abuse, Mr Gachagua promised the Government’s determination to free the region from the vices.

Mt Gachagua also reiterated the importance of the region’s unity behind President Ruto.

“We must remain united for the good of the region and our people,” he said. 

The Deputy President was joined Laikipia Governor Joshua Irungu, Deputy Governor Rueben Kamuri, Laikipia Senator John Kinyua, Laikipia County MP Jane Kagiri, Laikipia West MP Wachira Karani, host MCA Irene Wachuka (Igwamiti Ward), Nyandarua Senator John Methu, Kiambu County MP Ann Wamuratha, Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara, Manyatta MP Gitonga Mukunji, Emurua Dikirr MP Johanna Ng’eno, Molo MP Kuria Kimani, Subukia MP Samuel Gachobe, Ndaragwa MP George Gachagua and several MCAs and former Laikipia County MP Cate Waruguru among other leaders.
