Young Simba became the first team to book their spot in the finals of Fernandes Barasa Governor’s Cup tournament.
Young Simba beat Butali Youth 3:1 on post-match penalties on Monday, January 1 morning at the Bukhungu Stadium, Kakamega.
The two teams had played to a barren draw after the normal 90 minutes and the extra time, in a match that attracted hundreds of spectators.
In the second semi-final, Green Maroon made easy work of Buchifi, putting four (4) goals last their opponents.
Young Simba from Shinyalu Constituency will not face off with Green Maroon at the finals of the tournament that saw clubs from all over the 60 wards across the county meet from group stage.
