Socialite Zarinah Hassan, popularly known as Zari Hassan, has opened up on how her marriage has improved since she travelled to Saudi Arabia with her husband.
Zari and her husband Shakib Cham Lutaaya recently travelled to the Middle East nation for the Umrah pilgrimage.
Umrah is a religious ritual in Islam that involves entering a state of Ihram, circumambulating the Kaaba, running between the hills of Safa and Marwa, and shaving the head or trimming the hair.
“You know me and my husband, we went to UMRA, it was so nice. It was so life-changing,” Zari stated during a press conference in Tanzania.
A mother of five, Zari also hinted that they have plans of expanding their family. “Inshallah, we are looking forward to having a child, Inshallah maybe two, but we are trying for one.”
Zari and Shakib’s union was formalized in a simple Muslim wedding ceremony in April 2023, followed by their white wedding celebration.
In a previous interview with Millard Ayo, Zari admitted that things were very bad in her marriage after Shakib packed up and left due to a video of her with the father of her two children, Diamond Platinumz.
Zari also has three children with the late Ivan Semwanga.
