Drama is heating up between Ugandan socialite Zari The Bosslady and her husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya, after a surprise visit from Zari’s ex, Diamond Platnumz, to their South African mansion for their daughter Tiffah’s 9th birthday party.
Diamond, the father of Zari’s daughter, traveled all the way to South Africa to make Tiffah’s August 6, 2024, birthday extra special.
But Shakib was blindsided by this unannounced appearance, and it’s stirred up a storm of distrust and frustration in their relationship.
Shakib is seething over the fact that Zari hosted her former partner without informing him first, which has triggered serious concerns about their trust and transparency.
In response to Shakib’s anger, Zari has taken to social media, defending herself and labeling his reaction as baseless insecurity.
Zari insists that she was just as surprised by Diamond’s arrival as Shakib was. She clarified that the visit was solely intended to make their daughter’s birthday memorable and that Shakib’s intense response included multiple calls during the event to check on her whereabouts.
Zari voiced her disappointment over Shakib’s lack of trust, revealing that he had accused her of still having feelings for Diamond.
She vehemently denied these claims, emphasizing that her relationship with Diamond is strictly co-parental.
“If I wanted to get back with Diamond, I could. If he wanted to get back with me, he could. But we’re done with each other. I don’t want him, and he doesn’t want me; I have a husband, and he has a girlfriend,” Zari asserted.
She expressed frustration with the challenges of co-parenting and reiterated that she won’t keep her children away from their father. Zari criticized Shakib’s insecurities, stating that they’re straining their marriage.
“My husband is so insecure, and it’s causing major problems. I keep having to explain myself and prove my innocence,” she said. “I even had to go live on social media just to prove a point to him.”
Zari emphasized her worth and urged Shakib to appreciate her. “I’m Zari, the boss lady. I’m a millionaire, intelligent, and can be with anyone I choose. I picked my husband, and I don’t care what others say about him. But he needs to step up,” she declared.
Issuing an ultimatum, Zari warned Shakib that if he doesn’t address his insecurities, she might walk away. “If he can’t recognize my worth, it’s his loss. I’ll find someone who will appreciate me because I’m worth so much more.”
“I love deeply and am loyal when I love. If he can’t see that, it is what it is,” Zari concluded, underlining that her happiness and self-worth are her top priorities.
Earlier this year, Zari and Shakib had another spat over a viral video showing Zari holding hands with Diamond. Shakib expressed his displeasure, feeling disrespected by the gesture.
In an interview, Zari explained that the hand-holding was meant to promote Diamond’s song, “Mapoz,” and apologized for any offense caused.
